18-Year-Old Innovator Develops AI Agri-Robot to Revolutionize Farming

In a remarkable feat, 18-year-old Aryan Singh from Kota, honored with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, has designed AgRobot—an AI-powered rover aimed at easing the challenges faced by farmers. The innovative robot assists in analyzing soil, assessing crop health, and identifying signs of pests and diseases.

Aryan, born into a farming family, drew inspiration from the struggles of farmers around him. Witnessing their challenges, he aspired to create an affordable and compact solution to address multiple issues faced by the agricultural community.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Aryan had the opportunity to delve into his idea, leading him to pursue a B.Tech degree and further his understanding of machines and artificial intelligence. After three years of dedicated research, he successfully developed the first prototype of AgRobot in 2023.

Aryan's entrepreneurial journey was supported by initiatives such as Istart, a flagship program by the Rajasthan government, and Atal Innovation Mission. His robot boasts unique features, including real-time crop analysis, seed spreading, soil moisture sensing, and remote controllability through an application he developed.

The robot operates on solar energy, utilizing a piezoelectric panel to generate electricity, ensuring sustainability and independence from external power sources. Aryan has established a company, Mera Saathi Pvt Ltd, with the aim of commercializing the robot and making it accessible to farmers nationwide.

The AgRobot has already gained widespread attention, with farmers expressing interest in its capabilities. Aryan's dedication to bringing innovation to agriculture was recognized at the Krishi Mela in Kota, where his invention received praise from visitors, including MLA Narendra Singh Tomar.

Aryan remains focused on his mission, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute such a groundbreaking innovation to support the hardworking farmers of the country.
