Revolutionizing Tea Consumption: Assam Entrepreneurs Lead the Way with Eco-Friendly Tea Bags to Tackle Plastic Pollution.

In the quest for a morning ritual that combines comfort and sustainability, Assam-based friends Anshuman Bharali and Upamanyu Borkakoty have pioneered a groundbreaking solution to the environmental impact of traditional tea bags. Their company, The Tea Leaf Theory (TTLT), has launched Woolah, a revolutionary tea bag made entirely from leaves, offering a plastic-free and biodegradable alternative.

Traditional tea bags, often overlooked for their environmental consequences, release approximately 11.6 billion microplastic particles into the brewing water, posing health risks and contributing to pollution. Woolah, consisting of two compressed leaves and a bud, weighs around two grams and is tied with a naturally grown cotton string, providing a sustainable and flavorful brewing experience.

The unique design of Woolah not only reduces the environmental footprint but also supports the local community. The TTLT initiative has created employment opportunities for 140 women in Assam, simultaneously contributing to the education of their children.

Woolah offers a diverse range of flavors, including filthy green (green tea), filthy white (white tea), dirty detox (green tea with tulsi), killer immunity (black tea with tulsi), and the brutal combo (a mix of all varieties). Each tea bag is designed to enhance the taste of the beverage and can be used to brew up to four cups of tea.

Embrace the sustainabl-tea movement with Woolah, a thoughtful and eco-friendly choice for tea enthusiasts. Join the fight against plastic pollution while indulging in the rich flavors of these biodegradable tea bags, setting a new standard for a greener morning ritual.
