Battery Smart Facilitates 1 Lakh Daily EV Battery Swaps, Generates ₹63 Crore in FY23 Revenue

Battery Smart, a Delhi-based electric vehicle (EV) battery tech startup, has reached a significant milestone by facilitating 1 lakh daily battery swaps. Founded in 2019 by IIT-Kanpur graduates Pulkit Khurana and Siddharth Sikka, the company has quickly grown to operate over 1,200 stations across more than 35 cities in India, serving over 55,000 drivers. The startup recorded a revenue of ₹63.5 crore in FY23 and aims to make EV adoption more accessible and economical through its innovative battery-as-a-service model.


Battery swapping addresses key challenges in the EV market, such as the high cost of EV batteries, lack of charging infrastructure, and long charging times. By providing a quick and affordable solution, Battery Smart enables fleet operators, last-mile delivery drivers, and everyday users to easily swap batteries in under two minutes, significantly reducing downtime. The company's network of interoperable batteries supports over 200 vehicle models, ensuring broad compatibility and seamless integration into the EV market.
