"Driving Change: Hyderabad Couple's Pothole Ambulance Fills Over 2,000 Road Gaps in 11 Years"

In a remarkable display of civic responsibility, a Hyderabad couple, Gangadhar and Venkateshwari, has taken it upon themselves to fix the city's pothole problem since 2010. What began as a personal initiative alongside Gangadhar's job has now evolved into a transformative project that has garnered attention and support.

Initially working unnoticed, Gangadhar's voluntary efforts caught the eye of both citizens and authorities alike. Two years into their tireless mission, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) began funding materials for the couple's pothole repair project. Undeterred by limited support, Gangadhar and Venkateshwari continue to use their own pension to cover all other expenses associated with the venture.

Armed with their car, dubbed the 'pothole ambulance,' retired engineer Gangadhar and his wife traverse the city, mending road hazards to make Hyderabad's streets safer and reduce the risk of accidents. Their inspiring commitment has resulted in the successful repair of over 2,000 potholes in the last 11 years.

Despite investing approximately 40 lakh rupees of their own funds, the couple remains steadfast in their determination to enhance the city's infrastructure. Their story serves as a powerful testament to the impact that individual actions can have on community welfare. Hyderabad's extraordinary couple exemplifies the positive change that can be brought about by dedicated citizens committed to the betterment of their city.
