"IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma's Inspirational Journey in '12th Fail' Sparks a Storm of Motivation"

In a cinematic tribute to resilience and determination, the recently released biographical drama '12th Fail,' directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and starring Vikrant Massey, brings to life the extraordinary journey of IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma. Born in 1977 in the village of Bilgaon, Madhya Pradesh, Manoj faced adversity from a young age, with his struggles taking center stage in the film.

The movie, released on October 27, 2023, revolves around Manoj's life-altering decision to pursue the UPSC exams after facing setbacks, including failing Class 12. What sets his story apart is not just his climb from the ground up but also his unwavering determination, symbolizing the struggles of countless students aspiring to enter the civil services.

The turning point in Manoj's life was his love story with Shraddha Joshi, who was preparing for the UPSC exams at the time. Motivated by his desire to win her over and make something of his life, Manoj embarked on a challenging journey. To fund his education, he took up various odd jobs, including being a tempo driver, library peon, and even a dog walker.

While Shraddha excelled in the UPSC, becoming an IRS Officer, Manoj faced failure in his initial attempts. Undeterred, he persevered, refusing to quit. His fourth attempt proved successful, leading him to become an IPS Officer. '12th Fail' is not just a story of overcoming obstacles but a message of hope for students pursuing the UPSC, encouraging them to embrace life's challenges and shape their destinies.

Recently, an eagle-eyed viewer on X (formerly known as Twitter) noticed a subtle detail in a still from the film – the real Manoj Sharma and Shraddha Joshi featured in the background. Vikrant Massey, who portrayed Manoj in the film, acknowledged the observation, stating, "Haha!!! So I finally found someone who noticed this. True, it’s them. A small @VVCFilms tribute to them. Another trivia… it happened at the same place, which is Delhi Haat."

The meticulous attention to detail in '12th Fail' not only captures the essence of Manoj's inspiring journey but also pays homage to the real-life couple, creating a powerful cinematic experience that resonates with audiences.
